Simplicity

The site will up and running tonight! Please check it out, let me know what you think of the gallery, and drop me a line.

Life is pretty hectic right now, we're trying to figure out our moving plans, deal with sickness (I'm finally better after a pretty heinous six weeks of illness including steroids for strep throat and a serious kidney infection) and so I'm getting back on my feet.

While planning the move, I'm also planning my first overseas trip with contemplation as to where I'll be jetsetting off to. My choices are London & Paris (my first love, are you surprised?) or Iceland because I've always wanted to go some place that wasn't typical. August is the month I'm looking at, does any have any travel tips and such? Email me!

I hope you all enjoy the relaunch, and more details as the book details are finalized in the next few weeks. The whole household is focusing on their health at the moment!

And as a little tidbit, if you haven't seen the movie Ink you really should. It's amazing and if you have Netflix it's available for instant stream. Definitely one of my top 10 movies.

"They're all reactions! One thing begets the next. A man has a weakness, he's flawed. That flaw leads him to guilt. The guilt leads him to shame. The shame he compensates with pride and vanity. And when pride fails, despair takes over and they all lead to his destruction. It will become his fate... Something's gotta stop the flow."

Collaboration And A Thanks

Distance - Open Shutter
"Your Distance, These Wires" - A piece by Lynnsey Munroe

So, the gallery at Open Shutter was a huge success. I met so many potential collaborators and famous local photographers who have worked with National Geographic who really encouraged me to keep doing my own thing, because as they put it, "Individuality is lacking these days."
Thank you to all my friends and family who made it to the show, I can't tell you how grateful I was to see all of you at the opening and those who came during the weeks my photos were up!

Now, in other news, I'm completely reworking La La Lynnsey into a very simple website. I am re-doing my online photography portfolio because somehow it crashed and all that jazz. But expect it to be up very soon.

Right now, I'm putting together the final details to a collaboration with the incredibly talented writer Matthew Dunson who just so happens to be my partner in crime in everyday life. We are going to incorporate our writing, drawings/doodles, paintings and what else comes to the surface in a book that will be published. I'll let you all know the details as soon as we make them final!

In the meantime, keep checking my flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ajavinta/
and the site should be up and running within the next week.
